We are launching Flatscape; a publication about the Panorama. The paper issue is scheduled for November 2002 and the presentation of the project will take place soon with a grand event to which all collaborators, sympathizers and the press are invited.
The purpose of this publication is to collate the consolidated images of the Panorama in order to identify the actual settings of our time.
Understanding Panorama as something universally recognized and beautiful, we are asking designers to work on the imaginary landscape, performing all necessary operations to alter an image; while perhaps this is too stereotyped and impersonal, in the end we would like to have a varied collection of points of view in order to propose a visible habitable landscape (a sense of territory).
Designers are therefore asked to use the panorama as a basis for their own experimentations. Different artists from Duchamp to Magritte, from Mollino to Ghiri, have worked in this field, modifying precisely the general relationship between image and space.

In the orchestral spirit of Flatlandia, works will be published on-line the moment they are sent to the editorial staff.
